is plaid still as rad in '10?

We've seen plaid in store-font windows and mannequins and on the 12 year old neighborhood kid pushing around his skateboard, so has this trend been overdone? Most would say yes, especially after the tartan plaid has saturated the american eagle's and the hot topics and the like. I was definitely one to fully embrace the plaid, when it first made it's appearance, or re-appearance after the grunge era, but is it still fashion forward and can you still make a statement fully clad or minimally accessorized in plaid? Let's take a look at a few ways to wear this and still look le magnifique and relevant in twentyten!

leighton works winter wear

I'm not the biggest fan of the cold...or the snow, but one thing that makes this season tolerable are the fashions! Coats, scarves, gloves and booooots! L.Meester really embraces the season and looks effortlessly chic. This is one of my favorite outfits of the season so far. Now, excuse me while I go out on the hunt for a grey coat and nude ankle boots. Ciao!

Keep checking back for more winter looks and my inspirations this season!

a coat makes a man

D Collection Military for $128 at Urban Outfitters.
.

Triple 5 Soul for $279 at Urban Outfitters.

Classic peacoat in navy for $68 available at Old Navy.

Charcoal wool coat for $128 available at the GAP.

My personal favorite is the Triple 5 Soul coat, available at Urban Outfitters. It is the priciest but also the chicest! When it comes to a winter coat, it's all about fit and structure. A coat is a great investment. But if you're not ready to spend too much, go with the classic peacoat from Old Navy. At $68 dollars, you'll look fantastic....like a million bucks, and a little like Mr. Ventimiglia!

he's a hero

Milo Ventimiglia is featured in the October 2007 issue of Best Life magazine.

He says, “I know what I like, and I only invest in items I’ll still be able to wear in five or 10 years.” He’s not alone. This fall, designers are bringing back the classic black coat in upgraded fabrics such as luxurious wools and cashmeres. Try one on, as Ventimiglia does here, and take comfort in knowing it will look as good in a decade as it does today.

Give me a minute, while I drool! He looks amazing and so beautifully put together. If there is the slight possibility for your guy to look this good, then take it. Go out and get him a peacoat or something in wool NOW, seriously!

You can catch Milo Ventimiglia on HEROES, Mondays 9/8 central on NBC. You won't regret it. Promise.

Modeledeville peacoats & wool coats BEST picks coming to you soon!!!
